This was sold to us as Spiralis sp. moss from Indonesia. While it bears some resemblance to flame moss, there are slight differences that may be attributed to either variations in growth environments or the moss being a different species altogether. The supplier insists that it is indeed a distinct type of moss.
In order to further explore and understand this moss, we will be planting some in an aquarium during the summer season. We will closely observe its growth and behavior, and we'll provide you with updates based on our experiences.
