The Drosera Hercules x self is a unique carnivorous plant that is a cross of Drosera capensis var. alba and Drosera aliciae.

This hybrid is noted for its stout, wide, oar-shaped leaves and large growth habits, with adult plants growing up to 20cm.

Like adelae, they prefer terrariums as they do not like direct sunlight.

To care for the Drosera Hercules x self in a terrarium, it is important to provide it with a moist, well-draining soil mix that is low in nutrients, such as a mixture of peat moss, perlite, and sand. It is important to keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged, by using purified water or rainwater to prevent the build-up of harmful minerals.

The terrarium should be placed in a location that receives bright, indirect light, as direct sunlight can scorch the plant.

Since the Drosera Hercules x self is a carnivorous plant, it will also benefit from occasional feedings of small insects or other prey to supplement its diet.

Lastly, maintaining a high level of humidity in the terrarium is crucial for the plant's overall health. This can be achieved by misting the terrarium regularly and covering it with a lid to trap in moisture.

With proper care, the Drosera Hercules x self can thrive and become a striking addition to any carnivorous plant collection.
